Dr. Cheri McGee is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been a proud member of the Mindwell Psychology team since 2007. As a wife and mother, Dr. McGee understands that therapy may seem intimidating or confusing for those entering treatment for the first time. She makes every attempt to provide a warm and welcoming environment for children and their families. Dr. McGee is committed to providing excellent care in a supportive setting.
EDUCATION: Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in Psychology; Masters Degree (MS) and Doctoral Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University with a concentration in Child and Family Therapy.

Dr. McGee specializes in providing individual psychotherapy for adolescents, teens and young adults. She has vast experience treating individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders and family stress. Dr. McGee primarily uses a cognitive-behavioral approach, however, she incorporates family-systems and client-centered approaches so as to best meet the needs of the families with whom she works. Dr. McGee is committed to building on the strengths of an individual or family in order to promote change. She works hard to form a trusting, collaborative therapeutic relationship with each client.
