Admissions/Advanced Academics Testing WISC-V/WPPSI-IV

We provide cognitive assessment for admissions into independent schools, gifted and talented programs, and for advanced academics placement. Contact us today to schedule testing with a psychologist (not a student or technician) to get results as well as important observations.

At Mindwell, a psychologist works with your child individually. We do not use any graduate students to do our work for us. You can be confident that your child is working with an experienced professional who can make sure he or she feels comfortable enough to shine. Our personalized approach helps us observe how your child is doing and not just report scores.  These observations are important to private school admissions directors, who want to understand not just the child’s intelligence, but who he or she is as a person. Admissions directors want to understand the child or adolescent’s personality and learning style, as well as his cognitive performance. The process is as important as the numbers.

We provide the tests most frequently requested by independent schools, including the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Tests of Intelligence – Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV) for children under the age of six. We also administer the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V) and Stanford Binet Scales of Intelligence  – Version Five (SB5) for children over age 6.  We also administer the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Adults, Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV) as well as the Stanford Binet, Fifth Edition, for individuals above age 16 which is helpful for accommodations for standardized testing and college accommodations.

We believe it is important to personally administer the tests, interpret the results, AND provide a feedback session for families about what the numbers mean. Selecting the right school is a very important journey, and we know you need information you can trust to ensure you make the right choice.
